- Currently we are examining the following FOUR big questions by studying a variety of short works, such as poems, essays, short stories and TedTalks.
How does the way a text is written (its form) shape its meaning?
How do we use reading strategies to do close readings and to analyze texts?
How do we use our annotations to help us to interpret and to create new perspectives on texts?
How do we write persuasively about our perspectives? - We are also currently reading our classic novel texts and are using the same four big questions to aid our study.

Welcome back to the first week of your grade twelve (or grade twelve plus) year. Registration is the first day after Labour Day, or September 8th. First class is Wednesday, September 9th. We meet every day in room 210 unless otherwise posted. Bring your English binder, a pen, and your willingness to learn everyday. This week we'll be looking over the course outline and discussing my expectations for student behaviour and academics. We will also begin our first unit of study, which is called Review of Form.
