Welcome to our independent reading program. Over the semester, students will read two books of their own choice. Books may be novels or non-fiction. Students will complete an inquiry paragraph for one book in which they will reflect upon their growth as a reader. For the second book, students will create a media project book rant. Learning activities include reflecting upon and improve reading strategies, making connections between literature, the real world and ourselves, writing paragraphs and short scripts, and producing and responding to short videos.
